The Union, Two Towers Entertainment and Urban Elite proudly present Grammy-winning MC,
vocalist, producer and songwriter Ms Lauryn Hill to Edmonton Event Centre
for the first time, on Saturday May 28, 2011!

Edmonton is the latest date added to Ms. Hill’s Moving Target: Extended
Intimate Playdate Series, and will feature performances of original music
from her groundbreaking solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, as well as classic Fugee numbers and a few covers honoring the music that she wasmost influenced by.

Ms. Hill broke through the hip-hop scene with the super-group The Fugees,formed with friends Wyclef Jean and Prakazrel “Pras” Michel while still in high school. The group’s second album, The Score, featured Ms. Hill’s vocals on tracks like “Killing Me Softly” and went on to sell 17 million copies.

It was, however her ground-breaking debut solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, released in 1998, that turned her into an international
superstar.

Miseducation reigned at the top of the charts throughout the year and
garnered her five Grammy awards out of 11 nominations, making her the first woman to ever win five Grammy awards in a single year. Her next release, the double-CD MTV Unplugged No. 2.0 was released in 2002.

Ms. Hill has largely stayed out of the spotlight over the last decade, but is currently embarking on a series of highly anticipated intimate performances, including a stop in Edmonton at EEC on May 28 as part.
